Join us for the first event of the year celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Douglas County Open Space at one of the county's early conservation easements! The guided hike will be at JA Ranch (Just east of Larkspur), an active cattle ranch with over 6,000 acres of conserved land- blooming with wildflowers, fabulous views, and territorial history. This guided hike is not for the faint of heart, with a challenging 5-mile hike through various terrain. Learn all about Douglas County History, plants and animals, and importance of land conversation. A great hike to celebrate Father's Day! Items to bring: Bag lunch Water Sunscreen/ Sunglasses Hat Closed toed shoes for hiking Rain gear (Just in case)! DIRECTIONS-Look for an email on Saturday 6/14 for the specific address of meetup location and directions that will only be sent to registered guests.
